Greenhouse gas emissions by greenhouse gas type

FY25 data will be available in November 2025, following submission of AGL's Section 19 Report under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act. However, FY25 Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions associated with the combustion of black coal and diesel at Bayswater Power Station, black and brown coal and natural gas at AGL Loy Yang, and gas and fuel oil at AGL Torrens (together representing over 99% of Scope 1 emissions, and over 85% of Scope 2 emissions) is available here.

Notes

Data includes all AGL's operated Scope 1 emissions. This comprises all direct emissions at facilities which fit within AGL’s operated boundary. Operational control is as defined by the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007.

Greenhouse gas emissions have been calculated in accordance with National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (Measurement) Determination 2008.

Quantities have been rounded to the nearest tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e).

Nitrogen Trifluoride (NF3) emissions are not reportable under the NGER scheme. AGL does not emit / handle NF3 at any facilities in its operational control.
